![]() Holiday Fun. The Gulliver’s gang has been pretty busy this holiday season. The dogs have been enjoying the blue sky and sunshine over the past few weeks and I think all would agree that playing in the mud is just as fun as playing in the snow. I would like to send a big THANK YOU to everyone who brought our staff tasty treats over the holidays. I hope everyone had a safe holiday season and has a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

![]() Halloween Fun Happy Halloween from the Gulliver’s staff. Many of the dogs participated in our dress up contest today to celebrate Halloween. The indoor play area was set up with fun obsticles and the dogs played games where they searched for hidden dog treats under cones decorated with jack o’ lanterns and ghosts. I would like to thank all the customers for their participation and all the staff that helped make the Halloween party a success. Check out some pictures from the party on the photo page (search word: halloween).

Iron Dog 2009!! - 2009-09-27

![]() Iron Dog 2009 check out more pics on the photo page search word: irondog The Iron Dog competition is a 1.5 mile obstacle course set up to simulate the conditions a police K9 team may encounter during a work shift. The event was hosted by the Vermont Police Canine Association and was held on the beautiful grounds of Camp Kiniya in Colchester. Many venders and fire, rescue and police agencies were represented at the event as well as demos from disc dogs and police K9s. The Vermont National Guard also provided a portable climbing wall which seemed to be a big hit with the kids. The Iron Dog course itself was designed and constructed by volunteers and involved running through wooded areas, collecting evidence off of a dock and in buildings, simulated handgun shooting (using BB guns), various climbing and crawling obstacles, and the dog carry (which worried those of us with heftier pooches). General B and I gave the course our best shot and although we did not win a prize we completed the course with a respectable time. The competition between runners can be fierce at times, but everyone cheers each other on and we remember that it is all in good fun and for an important cause. Ask the Gulliver's staff a question If you'd like one of our managers to get in contact with you for some one on one time, the best way to reach us is to use our Contact Form. We check it almost daily and review every submission personally. If you need to get ahold of us immediately, please call our office at 802-860-1144 |
