Daycare Information GULLIVER'S OFFERS DAYCARE 365 DAYS A YEAR. There are numerous reasons for taking advantage of Doggie Daycare. It is an excellent alternative to staying home alone while the family goes to work or school. Daycare can be a great solution for a dog with separation anxiety, the youngster with tons of energy, or the older dog who needs special attention. It gives an opportunity to release energy, be social, and have fun. Daycare can help with nuisance behaviors resulting from boredom, lack of energy and social interaction. During a day at daycare, dogs are allowed to be dogs, they can explore the various playground toys, bounce around with their buddies, or maybe take a dip in one of the pools. We discourage behaviors such as constant barking, rough (unsafe) play, and jumping up. In a playgroup, we practice simple sits, and coming to their name with each dog. Since most dogs find that the best play often leaves them at least a bit dirty, Clean up is free at Gulliverís. Just let us know when you will be by to pick up your pooch, and we will have them rinsed and towel dried for the ride home. If a more thorough cleansing is needed, request a bath for pick up! For just $10, we can have your dog shampooed and dry when you get here. After a day of activity at Gulliverís, most dogs are happy to settle in and snooze through the night. Socializing At Gulliver’s Doggie Daycare your dog will have the opportunity to play and socialize with other dogs. As a result, your dog will be more comfortable around other dogs. Activity level at Gulliver’s Doggie Daycare will also help eliminate “boredom behavior” such as chewing and barking. Gulliver’s Doggie Daycare is a great solution for dogs with separation anxiety, youngsters with tons of energy, and older dogs that need to go outside more often. We can give medications, lunch (you can bring your own), cut nails, and clean ears for free while your dog is with us. We can also accommodate special needs. Exercising The playground equipment at Gulliver’s Doggie Daycare is designed for dogs with different levels of difficulty for mental stimulation and confidence building. Many dogs like to be outside even when the weather is bad, so we go out every day. If dogs choose to be inside, we have indoor play areas also. Many dogs go in and out during the day to rest, cool off, eat, or warm up. Your dog will be more fit as a result of playing and having fun! Newcomers We have a careful introduction of newcomers to keep everyone happy and safe. When Can My Dog Start Daycare? We accept dogs four months and older who have completed all of their shots and have received a bordatella vaccination. This vaccination usually needs to be requested as it is not always given with puppy shots. All shots must be kept current to come to Daycare. The Requirements We take any breed of dog, but we do require that any male dog six months or older be neutered. Many dogs that cannot play with other dogs when their owners are present can very often be worked with and play just fine at Daycare. Time To Go Home As with children, dogs can get dirty playing all day, so we offer a Bath & Dry for $10. Just call ahead and they’ll be ready to go when you are!You can also call ahead and we will do a FREE clean up with a rinse off and a towel dry for the ride home!
